Meet Lisa

Lisa is extremely passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families feel empowered to better their own lives.  She graduated with her undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota then graduated with her Master of Arts in Counseling from Regis University in 2012.  Lisa did her internship with a crisis center that served victims and families of domestic violence.  She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).   Lisa focuses on the individual or family’s specific needs and works to adapt to what will help them best.

Lisa enjoys working with a variety of issues but she has specific experience with eating disorders and disordered eating, domestic violence, identity and self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and she is passionate about working with teenagers and families.

Lisa joined McAllaster & Associates Counseling in January 2017 and she looks forward to the opportunity to empower, support, and guide you to grow through any obstacles you are facing!

Meet Betsy

Betsy is a New York native and has been living in Colorado for the past five years. Betsy completed her undergraduate work in psychology at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Denver. Betsy has worked in residential treatment facilities providing therapeutic services to traumatized children with the help of her therapy dog, Maggie. Betsy is an LPC and enjoys working with children, adolescents and families to help them overcome the struggles they are facing. In her free time Betsy enjoys spending time outside with her two dogs, reading, and kayaking Colorado’s lakes.

Meet Maggie

Maggie is a six-year-old American Bulldog adopted from a shelter at age two. Maggie has been a certified therapy dog for the past two years and enjoys going to work everyday to play with her clients. In her spare time Maggie loves going on hikes, sunbathing, snuggling with her dog-sister, and eating.
